A school powered entirely by AI, with no traditional teachers and a $55,000 tuition, has already attracted its first students.

Artificial intelligence is becoming a bigger part of everyday life, especially in education, where students are increasingly using it for research—and sometimes even during exams.

But instead of restricting AI, Alpha School is built around it. Rather than teachers leading classes, AI systems guide students through lessons.

The private school already operates across multiple campuses in the U.S., and its new Chicago location has begun enrolling students, with more showing interest.

Students spend up to two hours a day learning through AI, followed by sessions with human “guides” focused on life skills. These guides support the process but aren’t positioned as traditional teachers.

Founder Mackenzie Price says the curriculum aligns with standard classroom learning, emphasizing that AI is used as a structured tool rather than generating random content.

While unconventional, this model reflects a broader shift. In Japan, companies are experimenting with virtual instructors, and even tools like Farming Simulator 2025 are being used to teach real-world skills, showing how education is rapidly evolving with technology.
