An Amazon delivery driver has been jailed after earning more than $400,000 by helping university students cheat on exams and coursework.
Shahid Adnan, 43, admitted to fraud, money laundering, and unauthorized access to university systems after prosecutors said he completed assignments and online exams on behalf of students through his company, Study Sharp Ltd.
The scheme was uncovered after a USB drive linked to Adnan was handed to investigators at Liverpool John Moores University. Authorities later discovered records containing student login credentials, coursework details, and exam information.
Financial investigators found Adnan possessed assets far exceeding his reported income, including more than $3 million spread across bank and PayPal accounts, along with luxury vehicles and expensive household items.
Police believe he may have provided cheating services to as many as 124 students at universities around the world. Adnan was sentenced to three years in prison.
