Bugatti has partnered with Austrian luxury TV maker C SEED to create a massive television that transforms from a sleek piece of furniture into a 137-inch screen in just 45 seconds.
Called the N1, the TV is available with either a 110-inch or 137-inch 4K MicroLED display. When switched off, the screen folds completely away inside a cabinet-like structure inspired by Bugatti’s hypercars.
With the press of a button, the display rises and unfolds through several automated stages before reaching its full size. The entire transformation takes around 45 seconds.
Once deployed, the TV can rotate up to 180 degrees, while built-in speakers automatically extend for use and retract again when the system is turned off.
The MicroLED screen supports HDR10+ and is designed so the seams between its folding sections are nearly invisible when fully opened.
C SEED CEO Alexander Swatek said the company wanted to create something that went beyond a traditional television, comparing the approach to Bugatti’s philosophy of building more than simply a car.
Bugatti and C SEED have not publicly revealed the N1’s price, with interested buyers instead directed to authorized dealers and selected partners.
The N1 is also scheduled to be displayed at the CEDIA Expo in Denver from September 2 to 4, where visitors will be able to see the transforming television in person.
