A couple was arrested in South Australia after police raided their home and uncovered a massive stash of allegedly stolen LEGO sets, enough to fill 15 pallets.
The collection, valued at around $220,000, included sets from major franchises like Marvel, Pokémon, Animal Crossing, and Star Wars, and investigators believe the items were taken from multiple retail stores across the metropolitan area.
The operation began on April 1 and continued overnight, with officers working through the haul piece by piece. Authorities said significant logistics were required to move the collection, including the use of pallets and specialized transport to clear the property.
A 34-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were arrested at the scene, charged, and later released on bail. Both are scheduled to appear at Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on May 12, as the case moves forward.
