David Ellison and his partners have officially completed their $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, creating a new entertainment powerhouse that could dramatically reshape Hollywood.
Paramount Skydance, now operating as Skydance, finalized the deal on Tuesday. The combined company brings some of the biggest names in entertainment under one roof, including Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros., along with streaming platforms HBO Max, Paramount+, Pluto TV, and Discovery+.
Its television portfolio now includes HBO, CBS, CNN, TNT, HGTV, and Food Network, while its collection of major franchises features DC Comics, Harry Potter, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
With its massive library of studios, networks, streaming platforms, and franchises, Skydance could emerge as a major rival to Disney and Netflix in both scale and cultural influence.
