A Houston DoorDash customer was stunned after his food was delivered by a driver who appeared at his home completely naked, leading the company to permanently ban the worker from its platform.
Kiante Matlock said he discovered what had happened after checking footage from his doorbell camera. According to Matlock, the driver had already left by the time he reached the front of his home.
“I didn’t expect nobody to show up and drop my food off naked, which is crazy,” Matlock told Fox News.
He also raised concerns about who could have answered the door, noting that it might have been a child or a woman.
After learning about the incident, DoorDash refunded Matlock’s order, which he said he threw away because of safety concerns, and permanently removed the driver’s access to the platform.
DoorDash described the incident as “abhorrent” and said the driver’s conduct was unacceptable.
The company said it does not tolerate sexual harassment or misconduct and added that it is prepared to assist law enforcement with any investigation.
DoorDash also encouraged anyone who may have experienced a similar incident to contact the company.
