A 31-year-old Florida woman accused of scamming an elderly victim was allegedly found hiding more than $3,000 inside her body after her arrest.

Monique Love Turnbull of Miami is accused of posing as a bank representative and convincing a senior that their account had been compromised. Investigators say she offered to take the victim’s bank card to resolve the issue, after which more than $3,000 disappeared from the account.

Turnbull was later arrested in connection with the alleged scheme. While in jail, she reportedly complained of pain and told officers she had hidden $400 inside her body.

According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, further questioning led Turnbull to admit that the actual amount was $3,180. Authorities later said the cash had been concealed inside her vagina.

Turnbull faces multiple charges, including scheme to defraud, grand theft, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card involving a victim aged 60 or older, fraudulent use of identification, and using a communication device to facilitate a felony.

Authorities also added a charge of introducing contraband into a correctional facility following the discovery of the money.
