A Florida man was arrested after a dispute with his neighbor over dog feces allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation involving thrown poop and a children’s scooter.

Trey Decloedt, 35, of Leesburg, Florida, reportedly became frustrated after repeatedly complaining that his neighbor’s dog was leaving feces in his yard.

According to WKMG-TV, Decloedt confronted the neighbor at his home, where the argument quickly intensified. He is accused of picking up the dog feces and throwing it at the man during the confrontation.

The neighbor also told police that Decloedt held a children’s scooter over him and threatened to use it as a weapon. Decloedt, however, claimed there was more to the confrontation and told officers that the neighbor had grabbed him and scratched his neck.

Police ultimately arrested Decloedt and charged him with burglary with battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and simple battery.

The burglary with battery charge carries a minimum prison sentence of two years if he is convicted, meaning the unusual neighborhood dispute could potentially result in serious legal consequences.

The incident reportedly began after Decloedt became fed up with the neighbor’s dog repeatedly using his property as a bathroom and the waste allegedly being left behind instead of cleaned up.
