A Florida man went viral after his boat reportedly broke free from its trailer and landed in the middle of a road, creating a scene that viewers compared to something straight out of Grand Theft Auto.
Video shared by the Instagram account Only in Naples shows the boat sitting on Bayshore Drive after apparently coming completely loose from the trailer behind a truck.
According to the account, the driver had allegedly been traveling at around 70 mph when the boat detached and ended up blocking part of the road.
One witness claimed the driver initially left the scene, later returned, and then drove away again after noticing police approaching.
Other people nearby eventually moved the boat toward the side of the road so traffic could continue passing safely.
The bizarre incident quickly gained attention online, with many commenters joking that it looked like a GTA mission or the kind of thing that could only happen in Florida.
Some even joked that the abandoned boat would probably appear for sale online the next day, while others wondered whether it was still sitting there waiting for someone to claim it.
