A Florida homeowner sold his house in just five days after letting ChatGPT handle almost the entire selling process without hiring a real estate agent.

Robert Levine of Cooper City decided to use the AI tool for the full transaction after living in the home for 15 years. He told NBC 6 he wanted to test whether AI could guide the entire process from start to finish rather than just helping with a few tasks.

ChatGPT created a detailed plan for the sale, including when to start packing, which rooms to repaint to increase value, and how to structure the listing. It also produced marketing materials for the open house and online listing, suggested launching the listing on a Tuesday, and even drafted a contract.

Levine only involved a lawyer to review the final legal documents. Everything else—from pricing the property to organizing showings—was guided by ChatGPT.

The listing went live on Tuesday, March 3, and received five offers within 72 hours. By Sunday morning, a contract had already been signed.

Levine said the result exceeded expectations and saved him about 3% in typical agent commissions. While he believes AI tools will not fully replace real estate agents, he expects their role in the industry to grow.

“The more you use AI, the more confident you’ll become in leveraging those tools,” Levine said, adding that the AI even suggested a moving company for his next home.
