An Instagram comedian has gone viral after being arrested in connection with an alleged burglary at a business where he previously worked.
Dejontay Wings, a 27-year-old content creator known online as wingstoofunny, was taken into custody after police accused him of breaking into a Take 5 Oil Change location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Authorities allege the incident occurred late on December 2, 2025, when someone entered the business through a broken garage window, searched the office area, and took approximately $200 from a safe.
According to investigators, Wings had worked at the location but was reportedly terminated around two weeks before the alleged break-in.
Police said a security camera malfunction prevented a clear image of the suspect’s face from being captured. However, investigators claim the business manager identified Wings based on his distinctive walk after reviewing the footage.
Wings was charged with simple burglary and criminal damage to property. News of the arrest quickly spread online after his mugshot was shared on social media, drawing widespread attention.
The influencer has denied the allegations, posting on Instagram that people should not believe everything they see online and insisting he did not steal anything.
If convicted, Wings could face significant penalties under Louisiana law, including prison time for the burglary charge.
