Iran launched drones and missiles toward several Gulf nations early Wednesday, with Kuwait reporting damage to its international airport and multiple injuries after an attack struck the facility.

According to Kuwait’s state news agency, the strike caused significant damage to the airport’s Terminal 1 building and forced authorities to divert flights.

The U.S. military said several Iranian missiles aimed at regional targets failed to reach their destinations. Two missiles fired toward Kuwait reportedly fell short or broke apart mid-flight, while three missiles launched at Bahrain were intercepted by U.S. and Bahraini air defense systems.

U.S. Central Command said Iran fired ballistic missiles toward neighboring countries, but none successfully hit their intended targets. American forces responded by carrying out strikes on military facilities on Iran’s Qeshm Island and intercepting multiple drones and missiles.

CENTCOM also said U.S. forces engaged several one-way attack drones targeting civilian maritime traffic. No American personnel were injured during the incidents.

The developments come as tensions remain high across the region amid ongoing efforts to preserve a fragile ceasefire and continue negotiations involving Iran’s nuclear program and regional security.
