A theme park in Japan is launching an attraction where visitors wear replica “bomb collars” and compete in a battle royale-inspired challenge based on the hit Netflix series Alice in Borderland.
Japan has become known for immersive attractions, from anime-themed experiences to interactive adventure parks. Its latest addition recreates the high-stakes atmosphere of Alice in Borderland, complete with the show's iconic explosive-looking collars.
According to the Alice in Borderland: Immersive Death Game website, participants wear the collars while taking part in a 30-minute "Hearts Game," where strategy, deception, and betrayal determine the winner, who is the only player to have their collar "released."
The attraction promises "unfair rules, relentless tension, and a countdown that never stops," echoing the psychological challenges featured in the series.
Unlike the fictional collars, the real versions do not explode. However, organizers say they contain an electric current, though they have not explained exactly how it is used during the experience.
Due to safety precautions, Huis Ten Bosch prohibits anyone under 15 from participating, along with guests who use implanted medical devices such as pacemakers.
The attraction opens on August 27 at the park in Nagasaki Prefecture, giving fans the chance to experience a real-life version of Alice in Borderland's survival games.
