Marvell Technology shares surged more than 20% after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang called the chipmaker the “next trillion-dollar company” during a conference appearance in Taiwan.

Huang praised Marvell’s role in powering AI infrastructure, highlighting the company’s importance in connecting large-scale AI systems and data centers. The comments sparked a sharp rally in the stock, extending a remarkable run fueled by growing demand for AI technology.

Marvell’s shares have climbed nearly 260% over the past year, though the company would still need to increase its market value more than fivefold from roughly $192 billion to reach the $1 trillion milestone Huang predicted.

The endorsement comes amid an AI-driven boom that has pushed several semiconductor companies to record valuations, with chipmakers increasingly becoming some of the world’s most valuable businesses.
