A California man has been arrested after allegedly spray-painting 13 Tesla vehicles, with police identifying him through a takeout order he was carrying during a separate incident.
According to the Irvine Police Department, 25-year-old Max Sebastian Solomon was arrested on July 29 and charged with felony vandalism. Investigators also linked him to an earlier confrontation in which a man allegedly spat at a Tesla stopped at an intersection.
Police said the suspect was identified after detectives traced the takeout order he was carrying during that incident. Authorities believe he was responsible for vandalizing 13 Teslas over the course of a week.
If convicted of felony vandalism in California, Solomon could face one to three years in prison, a fine of up to $10,000, or both, depending on the extent of the damage.
