Meta is setting internal targets to push employees toward heavier use of AI tools, as part of its shift to become an “AI-native” company.

The company has introduced goals for using AI in coding and daily tasks, including targets for AI-assisted code, adoption of internal tools, and broader use of AI agents across teams.

An internal document shows that some engineering teams are expected to generate a large share of their work with AI, reflecting a wider effort to embed AI into core workflows.

The move aligns with CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s strategy to restructure Meta around AI, with changes to team structures, roles, and performance priorities aimed at increasing productivity and accelerating development.
