MrBeast has set a new personal YouTube record after his $1 million grocery store challenge became his most-viewed video within its first 24 hours.
The YouTube creator uploaded “Eat Everything In A Grocery Store, Win $1,000,000” on October 3, concluding a massive challenge that began earlier in 2026.
The video surpassed 70 million views in its first day, making it MrBeast’s biggest 24-hour launch ever. By October 5, it was already approaching 100 million views.
MrBeast also revealed that the hour-long video generated more than one billion minutes of watch time, with viewers watching for more than 20 minutes on average.
The challenge began after MrBeast bought an entire grocery store and invited contestants to live inside, initially offering $250,000 to the last person remaining.
After 67 days, four contestants were still inside. MrBeast then raised the prize to $1 million and restocked the store, challenging them to clear roughly 4.3 million calories worth of food.
The contestants were allowed to bring in guests, complete special challenges and donate food to reduce the total. Any food that expired was counted against their final result.
After spending 202 days — more than six and a half months — inside the grocery store, the contestants completed the challenge. Only 6,614 calories went to waste, and the group secured the $1 million prize.
Despite setting a new personal record after 17 years of creating content, MrBeast said he still believes his best days are ahead.
