A video editor working for MrBeast has been accused of insider trading after allegedly placing bets on the prediction platform Kalshi while having access to non-public information. He was fined $20,000 and banned from the platform for two years, and Beast Industries has launched an independent investigation.

Kalshi, which allows users to bet on real-world events — including markets tied to MrBeast’s videos, such as runtime or brand mentions — announced on February 25, 2026, that it had suspended two accounts for suspected rule violations. One of them belonged to Artem Kaptur, an editor credited on MrBeast’s YouTube content and Prime Video’s Beast Games series.

Kaptur allegedly traded around $4,000 on markets related to MrBeast’s content. Kalshi said his “near-perfect” betting activity was flagged as statistically anomalous, prompting further review alongside user reports.

Kalshi’s Head of Enforcement, Bobby DeNault, said no financial platform is immune to misconduct and that the company is committed to identifying bad actors.

A spokesperson for Beast Industries told the BBC the company has zero tolerance for such behavior and maintains policies prohibiting employees from using proprietary information. An independent investigation is now underway.
