The American Fork Police Department has released a detailed response to claims made by YouTuber Reckless Ben following his arrest during an investigation into a disputed $200,000 Lego Star Wars collection.

Reckless Ben, whose real name is Benjamin Schneider, previously documented police stops, arrests, a vehicle search, and a court-approved search of an Airbnb while investigating the disappearance of the collection. He argued that the actions were based on false allegations connected to his efforts to serve legal documents and investigate the case.

Police acknowledge that Schneider was arrested and that the Airbnb was searched under a valid warrant, but dispute his version of events. According to the department, officers were responding to multiple complaints from Joshua Johnson and his family, who reported repeated visits, photographs of their property, package deliveries, and signs placed near their home.

Authorities say they established probable cause for stalking and targeted residential picketing under Utah law. Court documents reviewed by media outlets state that officers also obtained a search warrant after receiving reports of possible stolen Lego merchandise at the Airbnb. The search resulted in no items being seized.

The department also released body camera footage and police reports supporting its actions, while rejecting Schneider’s claims of preferential treatment and disputing allegations that officers injured his shoulder during the arrest.

In response, Schneider released a new video accusing the department of heavily redacting body camera footage and threatened legal action. He claims several attorneys have contacted him and is demanding the release of unedited recordings.

The dispute stems from a long-running controversy involving approximately $200,000 worth of rare Lego Star Wars sets that allegedly disappeared after a change in ownership at a Bricks & Minifigs franchise. Schneider has stated that a third video covering the investigation is still to come.
