Spotify has introduced a new AI-powered assistant that lets users check their listening stats at any time, eliminating the need to wait for the annual Spotify Wrapped recap.
The feature, rolling out from July 14 to select Premium subscribers, allows users to ask Spotify questions about their listening history using either voice or text within the mobile app.
Users can ask questions such as "What’s my most-played song?", "When did I first listen to this track?", or "What genres have I been listening to lately?" The AI can also generate personalized playlists and help navigate podcasts and audiobooks with voice commands.
Spotify says the assistant uses your playlists, favorite artists, repeat listens, and listening history to provide personalized insights on demand.
While Spotify has previously offered AI-generated playlists, this is the first time subscribers can access detailed listening statistics whenever they want, rather than waiting for the year-end Wrapped summary.
The feature is currently limited to a select group of Premium users, with a broader rollout expected over time.
