A 13-year-old Disneyland guest was taken to a local hospital after climbing out of a ride vehicle on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before the attraction had finished.

The incident occurred on June 21 when the teen exited a log boat while the ride was still operating. Disneyland officials said a cast member immediately stopped the attraction after noticing the guest had left the vehicle.

After getting out, the teen continued along part of the ride path before being assisted by Disneyland staff. Witnesses later claimed on social media that they saw the boy travel down the attraction’s final drop, which descends approximately 50 feet.

As a precaution, the teen was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and was later released. The Anaheim Fire Department also responded to the scene.

Disneyland said the attraction was inspected the following morning by California safety officials and was cleared to reopen the next day.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, based on Disney’s animated film The Princess and the Frog, opened at Disneyland in November 2024 and replaced the former Splash Mountain attraction.
