Tesla generated $573 million in revenue last year by selling vehicles and battery systems to SpaceX and xAI, according to a regulatory filing.

Around $430 million came from supplying Megapack battery systems to xAI, while roughly $143 million was mostly tied to vehicle sales to SpaceX, including purchases of Cybertrucks for its operations.

At the same time, Tesla disclosed it also paid both companies for services—about $11.4 million to SpaceX and $4 million to xAI—highlighting the growing overlap between Elon Musk’s businesses.

The filing also revealed Tesla invested $2 billion across SpaceX and xAI, further deepening financial ties within the group.

These interconnected deals reflect how Elon Musk’s companies increasingly collaborate, from integrating xAI’s Grok into Tesla products to shared projects like the next-generation Roadster.

However, this close integration has raised concerns among investors about potential conflicts of interest, with some questioning whether resources and innovation are being shifted away from Tesla toward Musk’s private ventures.
