A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with stalking, trespassing, and harassment after a man she met on a dating app allegedly found her breaking into his home, despite never giving her his address.
According to police, the man matched with 30-year-old Lindsay Harris on Match.com earlier this year, and the two briefly dated before he ended the relationship.
The man later became suspicious after noticing items in his home had been moved or gone missing over several weeks. On June 28, he called police after returning home and allegedly finding Harris outside his house looking in through a sliding glass door.
Officers responded to the scene and identified the woman as Harris.
The man told investigators they had met in person only once and that he had never shared his home address with her.
Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney said Harris allegedly broke into the home and had brought a bottle of wine and water ice, seemingly intending to spend the evening there before the homeowner unexpectedly returned and called 911.
Harris has been charged with stalking, trespassing, and harassment, while the alleged break-in could also lead to felony burglary-related charges. She is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on July 21.
