A woman has gone viral after accidentally trying to book a room at a prison in the Philippines, mistaking the Baguio City Jail for a hotel while planning her trip.
The mix-up happened when the woman messaged Baguio City Jail, asking whether any "units" were available, believing she had contacted a hotel in the popular tourist destination.
Jail staff quickly replied, "Ma'am, this is a jail for women," prompting the woman to realize her mistake and respond with a simple, "Sorry."
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology later shared screenshots of the exchange on Facebook, joking that "Weekend plans secured" before reminding people that its jail facilities are "not a hotel."
As the post spread online, the jail followed up with another humorous message saying it was "fully booked" and asking people to stop inquiring about available rooms. The exchange has since gone viral across social media.
