YouTube has quietly updated its channel layout, making it harder for users to see how many videos a creator has uploaded.
The video counter, once visible on a channel’s main page, has been moved. On desktop, users now need to open the “more info” section to find it, while on mobile it’s largely hidden and only appears during search, disappearing once you enter the profile.
The change comes alongside other recent updates that have frustrated users, including more unskippable ads and adjustments to sharing features.
Many viewers have criticized the move, arguing it makes it harder to judge how active a channel is or track its content history, especially for those who rely on channel stats.
While some see it as minor, others believe it removes a useful signal for both viewers and analysts, adding to growing concerns over platform changes users didn’t ask for.
