YouTube is expanding its “Watch With” feature, allowing creators to livestream reactions to other creators’ eligible long-form videos and keep the advertising revenue generated during their reaction streams.

The expanded feature, announced at Made on YouTube, will let creators select “React live” on eligible videos or livestreams. The original content will appear alongside the reacting creator’s camera feed, creating a built-in format for live reaction content.

Creators hosting the reaction will keep the live ad revenue and fan funding generated from their streams. Meanwhile, the creator behind the original video will receive clear attribution and additional view credit in YouTube Studio. Original creators will also have control over which of their videos can be used for live reactions.

However, YouTube has not yet explained whether those additional views will generate revenue for the original creator or how reaction views will be counted. The company also hasn’t detailed exactly what makes a video eligible for the feature.

The expansion could have a significant impact given the size of YouTube’s live audience. According to the company, more than 600 million logged-in users watched live content each day on average in August 2026.

The move also comes after YouTube tightened its monetization rules around low-effort reaction content. While reaction videos offering little original commentary can face monetization restrictions, the new Watch With feature gives creators an official way to react live and earn revenue from those streams.

YouTube says the expanded feature will begin rolling out later this year.
