YouTube users can now fully disable Shorts, with a new setting that removes short-form videos from the feed entirely
A newly introduced option allows users to set their Shorts viewing limit to zero minutes, effectively hiding all vertical content from the app.
This means the Shorts tab disappears, and the platform stops recommending short videos altogether.
Originally designed as a parental control feature, the setting is now rolling out more broadly, giving users who prefer long-form content a way to avoid Shorts completely.
