YouTube has begun rolling out higher Premium subscription prices for existing users, with some plans increasing by up to $4 per month. Individual memberships have risen from $13.99 to $15.99, while family plans now cost $26.99.

The price increase comes alongside several new features aimed at Premium subscribers. Among them is Auto Speed, which automatically adjusts playback speed during slower parts of videos, helping users save time without missing important information.

YouTube has also introduced On-the-Go Mode for podcast and audio-focused content, reducing on-screen distractions for easier listening. Another addition, Ask Music, uses AI to recommend podcasts, playlists, and radio stations based on a user’s interests, mood, or listening habits.

The changes arrive as some subscribers question whether the growing list of Premium features is enough to justify the higher monthly cost.
