YouTuber Stephen McCullagh has been convicted of murdering his pregnant girlfriend while using a pre-recorded GTA stream as a false alibi.

In December 2022, McCullagh appeared to be live on YouTube playing GTA, but at the same time, 32-year-old Natalie McNally was killed at her home in Lurgan, Northern Ireland.

He told viewers he couldn’t interact due to technical issues, but investigators later confirmed the stream had been recorded in advance—something he reportedly admitted to police.

On March 23, a court in Belfast found him guilty. Prosecutors revealed he had staged the stream days earlier, then disguised himself, traveled to McNally’s home, and returned afterward.

The jury reached a verdict in just two hours. McCullagh now faces a life sentence.
